Atukwatse Stephen is a lawyer and Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, with extensive experience in Human Rights Law, Legal Research, and Litigation. He has honed his legal expertise by working in both the public and private sectors, having served with distinction at Transparency International Uganda and Joe. R. Karigyenda & Co. Advocates, where he specialized in tax litigation and advisory.

With his exceptional legal acumen and deep understanding of Human Rights Law, Atukwatse Stephen is an invaluable member of the AGORA team. His unwavering commitment to promoting good governance and accountability aligns with the organization’s mission, and his contributions continue to be instrumental in driving positive change in Uganda.

Currently, Atukwatse Stephen serves as a Legal Assistant at BBM Advocates & Legal Consultants, where he leads the transaction department. In this role, he provides comprehensive legal guidance with a particular focus on Human Rights and Access to Justice. His unwavering passion for innovative solutions in access to justice is a testament to his dedication to promoting social justice for all.
