Agather Atuhaire is a distinguished lawyer and journalist with over 11 years of experience in the field of journalism. Her work as a journalist has focused on various areas, including parliamentary processes and excesses, multi-party democracy, and oil and gas.

She has written and reported for a number of reputable media outlets, including the Independent magazine, Daily Monitor, Uganda Radio Network, and international media outlets such as the BBC and National Geographic Magazine. She is a frequent panelist on weekly talk shows on NTV and NBS TV channels and has hosted a show on parliament on an online TV, Civic Space TV. Her expertise in journalism has earned her a following of about 20,000 people on Twitter, where she frequently publishes information about governance and accountability, and has broken several stories that have had a significant impact. 

Agather’s exceptional writing skills and expertise in journalism have earned her a reputation as a trusted voice on matters of governance, accountability, and social justice in Uganda.

In addition to her professional work, Agather is also passionate about social justice and has led various causes that have resulted in significant reforms for the betterment of citizens. For instance, she spearheaded a fight against the excesses of the Law Development Centre, where gross violations of students’ rights were prevalent, and fought against irregular billing by the National Water Corporation.
